Over in Genoa City, Kane Ashby has been enjoying every second of smashing Victor Newman’s empire like a wrecking ball. But make no mistake—Kane isn’t finished yet. And the next life he destroys may not even be someone he meant to target.

A growing number of Young and the Restless fans are convinced that Phyllis Summers is living on borrowed time. Kane may smile, make promises, and act like she’s his trusted partner—but does he actually need her? More importantly, can he truly trust her? Many viewers believe Kane will eventually yank the rug out from under Phyllis, leaving her stunned and exposed. But surprisingly, Phyllis may not be the real victim of Kane’s master plan.

Instead, the biggest fallout could land on someone Kane claims he wants to help: Billy Abbott.

At first glance, Billy looks like the big winner in all of this. The Kane–Phyllis takeover of Newman Enterprises is nearly complete, and Kane has extended a massive olive branch—offering Billy the chance to reclaim Chancellor. For Billy, that’s the ultimate dream. The one thing he’s never been able to let go of.

And that’s exactly the problem.

Billy has always had tunnel vision when it comes to Chancellor. He sees the prize, but not the consequences. Kane’s offer may look like a golden opportunity, but it’s actually a ticking time bomb—and fans can see it coming from a mile away.

In Billy’s mind, everything works out perfectly. He runs Chancellor. Sally Spectra continues leading Abbott Communications. Together, they become Genoa City’s newest power couple, riding off into the sunset. But reality is about to hit hard.

Unable to resist temptation, Billy is expected to jump the gun—walking away from Abbott Communications early so he can seize control of Chancellor immediately. That single decision could trigger a devastating chain reaction. Nikki Newman will fight harder than ever to protect Chancellor, while both Sally and Jill Abbott are left furious and betrayed.

Jill’s reaction could be the most dangerous of all. She’s the silent investor keeping Abbott Communications alive. She sold Chancellor out from under Billy in the first place because she didn’t trust him with it—and funded his new media company to give him a fresh start. If Jill learns that Billy is abandoning AbbotComm just because Kane dangled Chancellor in front of him, she could pull the funding without hesitation.

That would leave Sally jobless after she already risked everything by leaving Marchetti to stand by Billy—despite multiple warnings. Even if Jill doesn’t cut the money, Sally may finally hit her breaking point, furious that Billy once again chose revenge and obsession over their future.

So maybe Billy still ends up with Chancellor, right? Not so fast.

As longtime fans know, Victor Newman almost always wins. Nikki won’t surrender Chancellor without a brutal fight, AI scandal or not. It’s Catherine Chancellor’s legacy—and the Newmans won’t let it go easily. If Billy loses Abbott Communications, Sally, and fails to secure Chancellor, Kane’s “gift” will have completely destroyed his life.

Unless… there’s a shocking twist.

The only real win would be Billy doing the unthinkable—turning Kane down. If Billy can resist the pull of Chancellor despite every instinct screaming yes, he could finally prove he’s changed. He’d keep Sally, protect Abbott Communications, and earn real respect at last.
