The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers hint that Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) out-of-retirement announcement is in the works. Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) will fume over this Logan addition, so here’s what B&B fans can look forward to.

Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) has already been busy recruiting Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) to join her team.

Deke may be a bit green in the fashion industry, but Katie knows he’s got talent and a fresh vision that could help generate some buzz.

However, Katie could also use someone who’s got years of experience behind him.

Eric knows all there is to know about fashion design and could be a great mentor for Deke as well as contribute some sketches himself.

Whether Eric pitches himself to Katie or accepts an offer from her instead, he’s sure to be a key player at Logan soon.

Let’s look at what Bradley Bell, B&B’s head writer and executive producer, had to say about Eric’s future in an interview with TV Insider.

“Eric is going to rebel. He feels like best intentions be damned. He’s the founder of that company [Forrester]. He always felt that he would have a place there until the end, and then to have Ridge wanting to take over, even though he’s been working beside him all these years, it upsets him,” Bell said.

It sounds like the longer Eric sits with this retirement idea, the more he’ll decide he doesn’t like it.

Eric only agreed to give retiring a trial run anyway, so it won’t be too surprising when he doesn’t stick to that plan.

“Eric is going to find a new avenue to channel his passion, which is design,” Bell confirmed.

It all lines up for Eric to rebel against the retirement that Ridge and others at Forrester tried to push him into.

Eric doesn’t want to stop doing what he loves and feels he has so much more to bring to the table.

Since Eric will be taking a stand against those who tried to shove him out of the fashion business too early, he may make a big announcement about his coming-out-of-retirement news.

Ridge, Brooke, Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and everyone else at Forrester Creations will be thrown for a loop once Eric joins the competition.
