A Coronation Street actor stunned fans after posting a selfie with his twin brother, who has also featured on the ITV soap.

A Coronation Street actor has astonished fans after posting a photo alongside his twin brother, who also previously appeared on the ITV soap. Liam McCheyne plays Dylan Wilson, the son of Sean Tully, portrayed by Anthony Cotton, and Violet Wilson, played by Jenny Platt. He originally joined the show in 2011 before returning to the cobbles in 2022.
Over the years, Dylan has undergone major character development. In 2025, his life took a dramatic turn when he became caught up in the knife attack that led to the death of Mason Radcliffe, played by Luca Toolan. Following his involvement, Dylan was sent to a Secure Training Centre, but has since been released and has returned to Weatherfield.

What many viewers might not realise is that the role of Dan was originally shared between Liam and his twin brother, Connor. While Liam has continued to focus on his acting career, Connor has seemingly turned his attention away from showbiz and towards sport, according to the Mirror.
More recently, Liam delighted fans by sharing a sweet update with his brother. On Wednesday, January 21, the twins marked their 19th birthday by posting on Instagram together.
Accompanying a collection of photos capturing their journey over the years, Liam wrote: “Happy birthday to my best mate and right-hand man @connormccheyne1. Here’s to the best memories in chapter 19!” Meanwhile, Connor shared: “Happy birthday to this one. @liammccheyne here’s to an amazing 2026.”
Their Coronation Street co-stars were quick to join in with birthday wishes. Vicky Myers, who plays Lisa Swain, commented: “Happy 19th Birthday @liammccheyne. Have a wonderful day.” Luca Toolan, known for his role as Mason Radcliffe, also added: “Happy birthday you two.”

Earlier, fans were surprised to learn that Liam has a twin. Photos from The British Soap Awards left many followers in disbelief, with one commenting, “Omg I never knew!”
Others shared similar reactions, posting remarks like, “I didn’t know he was a twin” and “Oh wow… I never knew.” One fan admitted, “Well, I never knew there were two of them,” while another added, “Amazing, I would never be able to tell these two apart.”
By 2024, Liam revealed that his twin often gets mistaken for him by the public. He explained, “He’ll get stopped in Manchester on his way to college and won’t have enough time to say it’s not him before someone’s asking for a photo.”
