OMG SHOCKING!!! EastEnders’ Ross rocked by huge Vicki bombshell in surprise proposal scenes
EastEnders’ Ross Marshall goes all out to woo Vicki Fowler with a romantic proposal next week – but when she drops a bombshell that changes everything, will he still want to marry her?
“Ever since they were torn apart by his son Joel’s sick actions, Ross has been trying to prove to Vicki that he loves her more than anything,” begins our EastEnders insider. “Now that Joel’s trial is behind them, Ross wants to pledge his commitment – however, viewers know that Vicki has been secretly growing closer to Zack…”
Prior to Ross’ big surprise, Vicki sneaks off to the Boxing Den, where she shares a charged moment with Zack. Yet little does she know, they’ve been spotted.
“It’s Vicki’s brother Mark – and he can’t believe what he’s seeing,” says our source. “Although Vicki and Zack aren’t related by blood, they’re Sharon’s siblings. The idea that something is going on between them sends Mark into a spin!”
And that’s not all Mark sees; later Vicki’s brother spots a smug-looking Ross leaving a jewellery shop, so takes the opportunity to ask him about his intentions towards Vicki. When gleeful Ross reveals that he plans to ask his girlfriend to marry him, Mark can’t believe his ears – and neither can Zack, who overhears the conversation.
Spoiling the surprise, Mark reveals Ross’ proposal plans to a stunned Vicki, who’s left feeling even more confused when she witnesses Zack leading another woman into his flat.
“On the surface it looks as if ladies’ man Zack is up to his old tricks but is he simply masking his hurt over Ross’ imminent proposal to Vicki by seeking comfort elsewhere?” questions our insider.
“It seems his feelings towards her are genuine, but Vicki isn’t to know that when she spots him appearing to hook up with someone else.”
Conflicted, Vicki follows a trail of rose petals into Sharon’s hallway to find a misty-eyed Ross suited up. As he drops down on one knee and asks her to marry him, Vicki can’t help herself – and blurts out a jaw-dropping revelation!
“Vicki is overcome with emotion at the sight of Ross asking her to be his wife, and it should be the happiest moment of her life,” our source says. “Yet what happens next sees her stun Ross with news that leaves him demanding answers.”
