LETHAL WARNING: ABI WEBSTER IN TOTAL PANIC AS FAMILY EMPIRE CRUMBLES!
Coronation Street’s Abi star says character should be ‘very worried’ amid Webster drama
As fans of the ITV soap know, the famous Weatherfield family are currently in turmoil
Coronation Street star Sally Carman-Duttine has warned which character should be ‘very worried’ as the drama continues for the Webster clan.
As fans of the ITV soap know, the famous Weatherfield family are currently in turmoil, with cheating partners, warring brothers and uncertain futures with both Debbie’s health and her current charges.
Debbie is risking a stint in prison as Carl makes her believe that she was the one driving when he car was involved in a horror multi-vechicle pile-up, that saw the death of Corrie vicar, Billy Mayhew.
The incident took place during the one-off episode, Corriedale, which saw Corrie and Emmerdale crossover for the first time, and featured a number of characters from both Weatherfield and the Dales either in danger or trying to help those in need.
Carl’s involvement came as he planned his escape after her dramatic wedding to Ronnie Bailey over in Yorkshire. Tensions flared between warring brothers Carl and Kevin during Debbie’s big day, despite her plea for her siblings to play nice.
But Debbie had no idea that Abi was secretly orchestrating her lover Carl’s downfall, having found his hidden bag of cash, which he’d been secretly stealing from his sister following her dementia diagnosis, and a one-way ticket out of Manchester back to Germany.
After Kevin tried to expose Carl for the hit and run on Tyrone Dobbs, and Abi confronted him over his plans to flee and his fling with James Bailey, a drunk Carl was seen heading to his car, determined to get away from Weatherfield for good. Debbie tried to stop him, but he was undeterred, even when she joined him in the vehicle and following the accident, he’s framed her as the drier.
But Sally has tried to assure Corrie fans that the mechanic has her eyes set on revenge when it comes to her former lover. “Carl’s completely underestimated Abi,” she told Digital Spy. “I think he should be very worried! She’s certainly got a plan up her sleeve, and the quieter she is, the more worried he should be!”
Jonathan Howard, who plays Carla, added to the puvlication: “Sally’s constantly reminding me of what Abi can do when she’s pushed into a corner! So, Carl should be very worried, but unfortunately, he thinks he’s the biggest, baddest guy going, so he’s not conscious of the trouble he’s making for himself.”
